GP online services allow you to access a range of services via your computer, mobile or tablet. Once you have signed up, you will be able to:
- book or cancel appointments online
- renew or order repeat prescriptions online
- view parts of your GP record, including information about medication, allergies, vaccinations, previous illnesses and test results
You can still contact the practice by phone or in person, this is just another option, which other patients have found is more convenient and saves them time. More information including “how to” leaflets and videos of patients and why they are using GP online services are available at www.nhs.uk/gponlineservices
How to sign-up
For more information, please contact Reception or next time you visit the surgery, bring with you a piece of photo ID (passport, driving licence). The person signing up for Online Access must present at Reception for access to be granted. If you don’t have any of the forms of ID, please talk to us and we will help you sign-up.
As well as being able to book doctors appointments* and order Repeat Prescriptions, you can now view your medical record on line. You will be able to view:
Medical Problems, Medication, Allergies, Test Results and Immunisations.
If you would like access to any of the online services please complete the relevant attached form (also available from Reception) and bring it to the practice along with Photo ID. We will then issue you with a PIN number for you to access the services you have requested.
By signing up to GP Online services you are agreeing to use the service responsibly. The Practice reserves the right to withdraw access at any time.

*Please note Only routine appointments with a GP should be booked on line. For joint injections, post natal examinations, fitting of contraceptive devices, medicals or certain reviews which require a double appointment, please contact the surgery to ensure the appropriate length of time is allocated for you.
*Please note If you are unable to attend your appointment please cancel either online or by telephone as soon as possible. If you do not attend more than 2 appointments that have been booked online, you will lose access via the online service for a period of one year. After one year, please re-apply for the service to be re-activated. This measure has been put in place due to previous abuse of the system, leading to reduced access to appointments for all our patients
EXISTING USERS - If you have already registered for online prescriptions and appointments, you will also need to bring the completed attached form to the surgery. Please note that you will need to bring Photo ID to prove your identity. If you do not have photo ID then please speak to Reception as you will be able to "prove" who you are using information only available in your medical record.
